With the new version of Notebook (10.6) for the PC, it's now easy to clear the contents of your entire page by using the Clear Page option in the Edit Menu. The Clear Page option will remove any unlocked objects from the page.

You can also add the Clear Page button to your Toolbar or you can do a CONTROL + L on your keyboard (COMMAND + K for Mac users) to clear your page.

The amazing critical thinking games on zoopz.com are great to use on your SMART Board interactive whiteboard. My favorite is Frog Jumpin which challenges students to evaluate patterns and spacial relationships by playing a peg solitaire game using frogs. The Maze Craze activity is also a great game for exploring spatial relationships, analysis, planning and strategy. It's also a lot of fun!

These activities are flash-based so using the Flash Game Maximizer Addon for the Firefox Browser will allow you to make these activities as large as possible on the SMART Board.

This video tutorial will demonstrate how to change the color of multiple Notebook pages at the same time. It will also demonstrate how to remove a theme definition from a Notebook page so users can use the default fonts contained in the Text button in the Toolbar.

This Notebook lesson is a great starter activity for teachers introducing idioms in the classroom.

This starter lesson has three sections. The first section uses a common idiom in a sentence and the students have to choose the correct meaning. The second section gives an informational statement and then challenges students to pick the correct idiom. The last page challenges students to write their own idiom using information about Daylight Savings Time.

If your school has more than one or two SMART Boards, it should really be protecting its investment by providing Smart Notebook training for its teachers.
